Computer Club

Computer Club Meetings: The Computer Club meets monthly on the third Monday of the month at 11:00 am.  All residents are welcome.  The next Computer Club Meeting will be held on April 15 at 11:00 am in the Encore Theater.

Computer Round table: Our Round table meetings are held monthly on the 2nd Wednesday of the month in the Village Square Music Room at 1:00 pm.  This is a place where you can bring your computer questions and ask the experts for answers.  The group will answer questions on desktop, laptops, tablets, etc. At 2:00 pm individual questions on Android phones and tablets will be answered.   This meeting always evokes a large discussion with many members dropping by for answers to problems that had been vexing them. The next Round table meeting will be Wednesday, April 10 at 1 pm in the Village Square Music Room; at 2:00 pm Android tablet and phone questions will be answered.

Officers of Computer Club for 2018-2019:

President:              Robert Boger

Vice President:      Trudy Downs

Treasurer:             Hannah Spalding

Secretary:               Harry Weil

Please note the LSC Computer Lab will be shut down permanently during the week of February 4.  Tutoring on Thursdays with Trudy will now take place in the Media Center at Town Center from 3:15 pm to 4:15 pm.  Several computers, printer and scanner will return to LSC in the Media Center once the renovation is completed but until then basic computer facilities are available in the Computer Lab in Village Square.

The Resident Directory (an Excel spreadsheet listing the information in the Riderwood Resident Directory) is now available with current information. You will find it on the RWVRES folder on the F drive in the computer labs. Once you are in the RWVRES folder go to the folder Directory to find the new Directory. You will notice that it is a locked copy — you do not need a password but must click on the radio button indicating you wish a “READ-ONLY” copy. You may then copy the file and update your own files.
