The Continuing Education Committee’s (CEC) mission is to provide educational opportunities to the residents of Riderwood.  One of the major programs for the CEC is to provide support to the Prince George’s Community College SAGE program at Riderwood.  Each semester you will be able to find the catalog and registration information and forms at this site.  You may then print them off and begin your registration process.    See below for information about the  Registration Process for classes at Prince George’s Community College.

Special Seminar Presentations are held when we are contacted by residents who are recommending outside speakers who have a topic that would be of interest to Riderwood residents.  These tend to be topics in  art, literature, music, social science, economics or political science.  If there is a more appropriate group to sponsor the group we will direct the contact to the other groups on campus.  Our next special seminar is on Friday, December 20 at 7:00 pm in the Encore Theater.  It will be a talk by Dr. Erica Elliott entitled “Medicine and Miracles in the High Desert: My Life among the Navajo People.”  Dr. Elliott has written a book about her work among the Navajo first as a teacher and later as a physician.  Schedule of Upcoming Special Seminar Presentations.

The Continuing Education Committee meets the 3rd Friday of each month at 2:00 pm.   If you are interested in joining the group or have any recommendations, please contact one of the Co-Chairs of CEC, Terry Dowd, terrybdowd@gmail.com or Jean Sonntag at sonntagjb@gmail.com.

The CEC is now managing course evaluations online.  To evaluate each of your courses from the Fallsemester, go to the following website:
