Memory Issues

Useful links to provide information on Alzheimer’s Disease and other diseases of memory.

1.  Forgive me if I have already done this, but my gift to you is an mp3 audio, my favorite, which is an interview between Krista Tippett and Allen Dienstag, a psychologist who works with Alzheimer’s patients to help them to write creatively. This audio changed my perspective toward Alzheimer’s disease, and I first heard it just after my diagnosis. Please let me know what you think. It can be loaded on a Walkman, Ipod, or mp3 player in your car since you do a lot of driving. If you need help setting this up to run in your car, let me know.

Play the “Radio Show/Podcast” (53 minutes) or the ‘”Unedited Interview” 89 minutes. Every time I play this, a tear (at least one) comes to my eyes as it plays, but the the take-home feeling is very uplifting.

2.  To view this video your computer must have a fast (at least Comcast cable or FIOS) internet connection since the video is streamed to your computer. I have a MP4 version of this video and thus can play it from my computer for presentations I have given.
