Riderwood Chapel

The Performing Arts Council takes pleasure in announcing its first performance of the year, which takes place on Friday, January 17 in the Riderwood Chapel.  The concert features New Ride Records recording artist Mill Run Bluegrass Band.  The band is composed of accomplished vocalists, musicians, and song writers who have performed together for over 14 years.  The group’s musical style spans traditional, contemporary, progressive, and bluegrass gospel featuring tight vocal harmonies structured around the lead vocal efforts of Bob Goff, Jr. and Billie Sue Goff.  The instrumentation includes the strong presence of guitar, mandolin, banjo, and fiddle that tastefully enhance the vocal performance.

The band is a 6-member entertainment powerhouse that breaks the bounds of traditional bluegrass by adding old country music stylings and southern gospel blends.  Mill Run draws you in and keeps you asking for more while providing the selections that let the song’s lyrics shine through and give you a performance that really puts the songs across instrumentally and vocally.

The band is based in northern Virginia and has performed at venues from Canada to Florida.

$10.00 tickets will be on sale from 4:30 p.m. till 6:00 p.m., Monday, January 13 and Tuesday, January 14 in all dining room lobbies from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm.

Tickets are now sold in lots A, B & C. This means that A ticket holders are seated first; then B’s and finally C’s. For the best seats and to assure that you actually get a ticket, buy your tickets on Monday.  Also, while we are in the Chapel we will be selling walker and wheelchair tickets.  If you use an assisted device and need it to enter the performance venue, you must buy an appropriate ticket because this type of seating is more limited in the Chapel.  Get your tickets early on Monday to assure a seat for these performances.
